Re: "F" Single-Six
Absolutely gorgeous!!
A defining feature of the letter prototype Single-Sixes are the ball end milled cylinder flutes. If anybody ever has a chance to look at one of these guns up close, the machining of that cylinder is an absolute work of art! The prototype cylinders were all machined by Ruger's tool and die man for many years, Rex King, who also machined the first three Single-Six prototype cylinder frames out of solid blocks of steel.
The ivory panels were also one of six pair ordered from J. L. Galef with special instructions on the invoice "install medallions". All six pair went on the letter prototype Single-Sixes A through F.
