Hello Guys,
I can't remember when this photo was taken, it was at an NRA event in the late1970s (probably 1977). The round Ruger Collector's sign in the center was designed and hand painted on canvas by the late Jim Triggs, it is still the property of RCA and is sometimes exhibited at NRA shows, right now it resides in my gun room for safe keeping until needed again for a show. The other art hanging on the curtain was also done by Triggs, I think they are original paintings.
On the top shelf of the center display case is Mr. Ruger's Hawkeye carbine #69. The Ruger Corp. drills in the left case were probably provided by early member Jim Hoobler.
And, yes T.A. is correct, we owe Steve Vogel along with Jay Hansen who established the RCA almost 50 years ago, a big thank you. Vogel was only 50 years old when we lost him to lung cancer.
