Like most everyone in the group, I'm after a Unicorn...a 1949 Ruger Red Eagle! I own one from February 1950 (#3232), but would love to obtain a 3-digit. Please let me know if you have one to part with or know of any leads. I greatly appreciate it.

But just my luck, the bolt has been replaced with a newer one and it does not have the proper cutouts for the safety (and bolt stop) to engage. Does anyone know how many Ruger Standard/Mark 22lr Pistols have been made since that first one in 1949? I can't really find a count anywhere on the web.
