How many Ruger 22lr pistols since 1949?

Post by Gwoody »

Does anyone know how many Ruger Standard/Mark 22lr Pistols have been made since that first one in 1949? I can't really find a count anywhere on the web.

Ruger does not publish production numbers, it is in the millions though. You could try calling Ruger Customer Service and ask if they can give you an approximate number. They may or they may not.

Thanks @Xringshooter. I also reached out to author Chad Hiddleson who wrote...Rough estimate going by known high and low serial numbers, as follows.
Standards and Mark I's: 1,210,973
Mark II's: 1,805,303
Mark III's: 1,023,678
Mark IV's through 2023: 621,379
Total: 4,661,343
