3 variations of the Ruger screwdriver. Two more common are the short one is manual return and the other is automatic return. The third is only one I've seen in this variation.

Ruger Corp markings on all 3 screwdrivers.

Could you or John enlighten us on this 3rd variation?
When I look at your pictures the lettering is roll marked on the first two variations,
while the 3rd variation appears to be engraved or etched. Or is it my eyes?

Terry the lettering looks the same to me. Maybe because the one is chrome (shinny) and the others are a dull flat color.

Well I am going blind in my left eye (mac) and two days ago developed a sty in the corner of my right eye,
so maybe it is me, LOL.
The reason I mentioned John is I thought I saw something like yours in one of his displays once, NRA ? The quick draw timer was the center piece in that display IIRCC.

Terry you maybe thinking about a egg beater type hand drill. John traded a guy for a bunch of gun parts for it. It's unusual because it has a wood handle.

Rick's odd screwdriver is unique, I have never seen one like it and it is the only one i know of. We have all heard the old adage, "never say never" when it comes to Ruger collectables. Terry, the display you mentioned was in Indianapolis, on it were examples of all the known Ruger Corp. tools, I only own one of each of the screwdrivers #300 and #301. Perhaps another will show up in the near future. The 12" stick drill that Rick alludes to is fitted with a stained wood handle that closely matches the screwdriver, it is the only one I know of as well.

That's some great information on that 3rd variation of the screwdrivers. Every thing has a story or history, like you stated "Never Say Never"
