Shawn brought his extensive collection of new model single action guns, all ending with the serial number 108. A truly one-of-a-kind collection. To round things out, Shawn also showed a very impressive collection of Schrade made Ruger knives.
The second display is a 1954 produced Single Six. The receipt showed that the buyer purchased the gun on layaway, paying $10 a month. He paid the gun off on 12/20/1954 and Troy therefor called it “The Christmas Gun”. A beautiful display created by his wife Taryn. Doc displayed ten brand-new stainless-steel RSI rifles. These were a Lipseys exclusive. The calibers are .5 Creedmore (250 made), .257 Rigby (256 made),
.250 Savage (284 made), .30-06 (313 made), 7x57 (262 made), 6.5 x 55 (285 made), .260 Rem. (250 made), .223 Rem. (256 made), .257 Roberts (253 made) and 7 mm-08 (260 made). All rifles had beautiful full stocks.
Troy and Taryn attended our show for the first time decided to bring two displays. The first display was a dual cylinder Bearcat produced in 1993. Ruger had produced approximately 1000 guns when they issued a recall. We estimate that only 350 were returned. This is a rare model and worthy of any Bearcat collection. The second display is a 1954 produced Single Six. The receipt showed that the buyer purchased the gun on layaway, paying $10 a month.
