Ruger Collectors Association

I just bought a Ruger GS-83 at an auction and was wondering if anyone could tell me about them. I probably overpaid but never seen a 3 inch in 38 special Speed six. I have security six, a couple police service ( one in 38) and a Speed in 357 but never seen a 3 inch so bought it because I never seen a 38 3 inch.

Might be one of the guns Ruger made for the US postal service. They were 3 inch, but I was thinking they were all in .357, but I am not completely sure of that. A letter from Ruger would probably clear it up.
