Is there any reference to the numbers of No.1’s produced by model after the prefix numbers were introduced?

I emailed with Lee Newton about the article he wrote. He says less than 7500 before the Gun Control Act of 1968. I agree with you not common.

I just picked up a 1st year 1AB in 308 with low serial number. I’ve asked the same question and have been given answers all over the spectrum. I’ve been told that it’s a common release and then told an uncommon.
