This is in regards to the Ruger Single Six 22 Magnum only (not convertible). Most people say it was manufactured for only 3 years. The Ruger web site shows that production legnth was 10 yrs. 1959 to 1969. Which is it??

The RSSM was the designation for the Ruger Single-Six Magnum. The original version was introduced in 1959. The Single-Six that features a 61/2"" barrel is catalogued RSSM. The original frame marking said .22 WRM. After 1963 at serial number 342XXX the frame was marked identical to the regular Single-Six and the magnum designation was ommited. When you hear collectors say it was only in production for three years they are referring to the ones marked .22WRM. The RSSM (6 1/2"" bbl.) was in production until 1973.
