Like I mentioned in my introduction thread, I bought my first Ruger 10/22 in January. Went to Wal-Mart and picked up one of the 50th Anniversary editions. It has been in my closet since the day I bought it cause I haven't had time yet to go shoot. I got it out last night and realized the Serial Number is 0001-80005. :o

I have a couple pictures I can post later when I get home. Just trying to verify that this is what I really have because I don't see how 0001 ends up at Wal-Mart in north Texas.

Hi TxViper, The 0001 in your serial number is a prefix assigned to the 10/22 now. I have a new 10/22 International from TALO with an 0003 prefix. If you look at the Ruger factory website they have a breakdown of serial numbers by model & year. Hope this helps, Watertender
