    Hi Roy and welcome... It would be most helpful if you could provide at least a partial SN and some specifics about the revolver such as locations of rollmarks, whether it's blue or SS, any special markings, etc. I assume you have no original box for the piece?

    Do you have the original box with label for this? It looks like a KGP-131, model 1708, 1988 vintage to me. But I'm certainly no authority on these GP-100's!

    Roy,

    Do you have the little envelope with the test cartridge? There should be a date on that label. It's an early gun, but I think there were a run of those by Lipseys back in 2006 or 2007... They might have done an earlier run as well although I haven't seen any direct reference to them. There's a thread on a very similar gun on Rugerforum.com with a SN very close to yours (170-89950).
