My wife has a No. 1 Limited Edition California Highway Patrol Association in .357mag, unfired, in its box (not a presentation box). She got it from her grandfather but doesn't know how he came to own it or anything about it. She's interested in possibly selling it but I can't seem to find anyone who can appraise it or give her a good value for it. I've done searches on the auction sites but haven't found anything in a .357mag. It seems an odd calibre for rifle, but I'm told that it's not uncommon. I spoke to Ruger and got some information on it, such as how many were made, who it was sold to (APB Magazine), when, etc. Can anyone suggest a knowledgeable person in the Seattle/western Washington area who could appraise it?

    Thanks for your help.

Ghost rider while the do pop up for sale from time they are not real common

Less than 2000 of the CHP rifles were made and there were a few more (and far less common, less than 200 ) that were part of an overrun and not marked

I have seen them as of late selling in the $1100-1400 range. Some with exceptional wood and unmarked may approach $2000

    Hope this helps
