0 Replies and 3072 Views M77 with special Leopold Ruger scopes  3072  0 Started by  kfstemler Need help identifying. I have found, in the back corner of my gun stash, a pair of NIB M77 rifles. I am a No 1 collector but it appears that I had a weak moment. These have S/N's of 770-181xx & 770-208xx. These are not normal S/N's it appears. They are in cal 30-06 & 270 and came with a Leupold 3-9 scope with the Ruger logo rather than the Leupold logo on the scope turret. I assume this was a limited run for Leupold. I think they were bought in the mid 80's Does any body know what these ...

0 Replies and 3988 Views ??? 10/22 International  3988  0 Started by  steviegwood Hi Folk's, I have a NIB 10/22 International, walnut Mannlicher checkered stock that I am having trouble trying to find out any info on. I am hoping that someone here can help with a value to this rifle. The serial is 247-82456. I got this rifle several years ago at a raffle for a family who lost a loved one and was told that it would be collectable. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. Steve

0 Replies and 3016 Views 1964 First Year 1022  3016  0 Started by  Farquhar Hello, I recently purchased a older 1022. I didn't realize until i got home just how old it is. the Serial number is 130. I was wondering if the low serial number increases the value. If so what is an approximate value of the rifle, i would say that the rifle is in about 95--98 condition with the original magazine. &91img&93http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb300/BDfarquhar/IMG_20120922_152612_zps40e301dc.jpg&91/img&93 &91img&93http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb300/BDfarquhar/IMG_201...

0 Replies and 2965 Views Question about a couple M-77 Rugers  2965  0 Started by  antiquebill I recently picked up a couple of used Model 77 rugers from an older gentleman and am wondering whether they are collectible or just shooters and how old they are and of course value. One is marked M77, serial 791-68xxx, walnut checkered stock, in excellent condition finish and blue, caliber 7 X 57, and fired less than a box of shells according to the former owner. The other is stainless with black plastic stock ( not skeleton type), marked M77 Mark 11, serial 791-68xxx, possibly unfir...

Is this 10/22 of any special interest to collectors or is it just a good shooter in this condition I'm going to use it to build up a heavy barrel gun unless it's worth more than a normal rifle. thanks for your help

0 Replies and 3460 Views M77 International History  3460  0 Started by  jsrwmfrgc I have a collection of M77 Internationals. I have been under the impression that early Internationals had a prefix of 77 or 78 depending on the caliber. To my surprize I found a .243 RSI in 96 to 98 condition with the box and papers with an early 75 prefix. I am very happy. My question now is, Does anyone know when each RSI caliber was started I am also under the impression that the RSI was only made in 30-06, 7x57, .308, 7mm08, 250-3000, .243 and 22-250. Am I correct in that assumption...

0 Replies and 3052 Views M77RP MKII found at gun show  3052  0 Started by  RugerHound This one was sitting all-lonesome like on the table of a private seller along with a Bisley Hunter KS-47NHB, .44 Mag. Both NIB unfired & complete except for the plastic wrapper (if there was ever one) on the M77. Private seller was packin' up Saturday and was anxious to make a deal since they wouldn't be back for Sunday. Well don't you know I'm a sucker for stuff like this, so they're sittin' in my gun room now. Regards, Pete Ruger won't tell me much about the M77 other than that it...
