0 Replies and 3783 Views Price range for a Bisley .22?  3783  0 Started by  NedM Good day: I'd like to obtain a Ruger Bisley with adjustable sights in .22 rimfire. I did see one listed on one of the online venues; the ad stated the gun was a limited edition and was priced at about $1200. I know Ruger no longer makes this model in that caliber but I did not think they were limited editions when they were being produced; am I mistaken Is that about the price I should expect to pay or is the seller being a tad optimistic in his pricing Thank you. 0 Replies and 3906 Views factory mis-marked Blackhawk  3906  0 Started by  bocephus1963 Hi all...have a question. I bought a Ruger Blackhawk in the early 90's, it's a 45 long colt 5 1/2'' barrel, here's the deal- the frame is marked as a Super Blackhawk 44 Magnum, barrel and cylinder are 45 LC. The serial is obviously on the opposite side of the frame as the SBH stamp, I contacted Ruger and they have the serial logged as a 45 LC Blackhawk, obviously someone at the factory assembled the pistol using the wrong frame. When I told them what I had, they really wanted me to send it b...

0 Replies and 4683 Views The tripple crown of 41 magnums  4683  0 Started by  seeemmiss Here are three of the new model flattop Rugers in 41 magnum. Rumor is that they were produced after Hank Williams Jr requested one form the factory. I have some letters from Ruger saying the guns are Hank Williams Jr specials and then another letter saying there was an error in marketing these guns and they are in fact Williams Shooter Supply specials. Either way, I think they are pretty cool. These three are consecutive serial numbered and unfired since leaving the factory. These guns are also ...

0 Replies and 5733 Views Ruger .32 mag make over  5733  0 Started by  LimpinLeroy Say Bill, this does not look like the little revolver you sold me......does it! Mr Bowen and Company have done it again! They turned that birds head into one of the sweetest (SP) pocket pistols I have seen or handled! With the 3'' barrel, Beasley hammer, reshaped cylinder, reverse pawl cylinder and new front sight and Elephant ivories she shines! Shoots pretty good too! The cylinder feels like it is rotating on a glass rod. They had to bob the ejection rod to get the 3'' barrel~~~~but it works ...

0 Replies and 3114 Views Shootists Bisleys in .44 Special Calibre  3114  0 Started by  flatgate &93Ruger evidently made an error and produced 92 examples without the special serial number series (or High Polished finish and the Baron applied engraving) ordered by the Shootists. A few of we collectors were able to ''snag'' examples, however, I believe, most were purchased by folks whom will enjoy shooting their .44 Specials. So, IMHO, the ''mint'' guns with the standard Ruger serial numbers will be more scarce than the actual Shootist guns. Anyone else have some thoughts on the subject...

0 Replies and 13055 Views Single Six serial numbers  13055  0 Started by  LimpinLeroy Howdy folks! Ruger Collector 9142 here. I am new to the wire... please forgive me as I feel my way around. It seems I have read somewhere, maybe in the 'Journals', that Ruger serial numbers that begin with a star are duplicate or replacement numbers. Is that correct If so does it hold true for single sixes in .32 cal also Any info greatly appreciated. If you know where that was printed it would be nice to know. I could not find it in Wilson's Big Red Book. Thank you................
