Side of book wrap reads: RSSM--X (I'm assuming X for 2 cylinders) SINGLE--SIX .22 WMR--WALNUT (for walnut grip panels) Letter comes back ''RSSM, no extra cylinder. Can't confirm grips. Shipped June 1959''. I believe manufactured 59 & shipped in 60s. Double click image for close-up.

0 Replies and 6127 Views Single six with Vent Rib?  6127  0 Started by  cabinroe I am considering a purchase of a stainless single six, 6.5 inch barrel, with what looks like a ventilated rib on it. Was this a early Hunter model, a custom factory build, or an aftermarket modification The rib appears to be mounted professionaly with a smooth transition into the receiver frame, along with an adjustable rear sight with red coloring. Any information you would like to share would be appreciated.

0 Replies and 4355 Views Two Bearcats  4355  0 Started by  RobR Hello, I have two Ruger Bearcats that were inherited some time ago. They were found in the back of my parents safe, tucked away. A call to Ruger seemed to bring up more questions than were answered. They said that the grips were rosewood and that they were not engraved. Clearly the grips are not rosewood and they have been engraved. Can anyone provide more insight into these pistols Here's some pictures: &91img&93http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/8770/20130502142750.jpg&91/img&93...

0 Replies and 3502 Views Help with possible value New Model Blackhawk  3502  0 Started by  jtx1212 I have a New Model Blackhawk .357 Magnum – 9mm convertible revolver. The serial number, 32-5xxxx, that was test fired July 30, 1974. This revolver is unfired with all paperwork and has a Certificate of Authenticity. This revolver was one of the earlier models so it does not have the manual warning on the barrel. I'm having a hard time with finding a value for it and hoping someone here could help.

The date inside the lid of the box is 1973. The box for the 357 also has the serial number (correct) on the side but the label specifies a...
