0 Replies and 4958 Views mk 1  4958  0 Started by  ranger Good Afternoon, Trying to find some info on a Ruger mk1, 4"" barrel, and a 4 digit ser. Hoping you guys can help. Need to know about when it was manufactured and approx. value. My knowledge is very limited on Rugers but I had heard that all Ruger firearms manufactured before the death of Mr. Sturm, had a red background on the Eagle medalion. This one is solid silver. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Richard

0 Replies and 3604 Views Need Advise  3604  0 Started by  parashoot I was at our local sporting goods store today and they had a ruger red eagle for sale. They were asking $400 and was wondering if i should buy it.The serial no. is below 3100 and i would say it,s not pristine but at least good. After investigating on the net,i believe this was made within the first 6 months of ruger,s opening so i,m fiqureing around early 1950.What do you guys think.I just thought it would be neat to own an early model in decent and operational condition.Thank You.

0 Replies and 3724 Views Ruger RST6 Parts Compatability  3724  0 Started by  Jess18w Well, ruger strikes again, I Bought an old Ruger Standard 6 which dates back to 1971. Its in great shape with about 95-98 bluing, two mags, no box unfortunately. Being from 1971, im betting its nothing too get too excited over, but I think its neat. Things are getting expensive in my neck of the woods as I live in the oppressive state of Massachusetts. I think I overpaid, but I I will enjoy this gun so its not too bad. $200 was what it set me back. Again, Mass is rough on us gun lovers......

The quandary I find myself in is that I don't want to shoot it, I have no place to display it, I'm not (...
