0 Replies and 7356 Views Looking for info on Ruger guns and accessories  7356  0 Started by  kaelaine My dad passed away earlier this year and I inherited his gun safe and contents. It was packed full and I'm just now sorting through it all. I've now got six Ruger guns and I'm wondering what they're worth and trying to figure out what I'm going to do with them. I contacted Ruger and they gave me the year manufactured for these based on serial number, then pointed me at this site for further help. Here's what I've got: 3 Ruger P94 DAO 9mm with factory laser sights. 2 from 1994 and 1 from...

0 Replies and 9534 Views Re: Info on a presentation Speed Six  9534  0 Started by  Mike C. &91quote=''snipershot1944''&93The pistols were commissioned in 1984 to 1985 by a VSP Captain Wagner. The Department had just celebrated their 50th anniversary with a VSP S&W 66 Commemorative, 1500 pistols in total. There was still a lot of demand at that time so Capt Wagner, who loved nice guns, particularly engraved stainless guns, took orders and commissioned the Rugers personally. The 1500 50th anniversary pistols and the 850 Rugers were followed by a 55th anniversary S&W 60 that...

I have found out that they were only made from 2003-2004 and the stainless models were even more rare than the case hardened steel blue models. I would appreciate any information on this. Thank you

0 Replies and 6415 Views Unusual Ruger Scope Rings?  6415  0 Started by  paulb1946 I recently acquired this set of Ruger scope rings that incorporate a blade front sight and aperture rear sight. The rings are not marked but appear to be of a very good quality. Would appreciate any information as to possible maker and intended application. After exhausting all of my resources I believe I have identified the application these sights were designed for. According to the Ruger Scope Ring Chart the front ring would be described as a ''3'' having a height measurement of 0.325'' and ...

0 Replies and 5913 Views Hello, I'm interested in the year made for40616X  5913  0 Started by  Walz :) Hello, I usually can figure out this type of question, however Ruger has no posting of my serial number. On the cylinder frame it states: 40616X Ruger .22 cal Single-Six The Ruger emblem is off to the right. I'm looking to find out the year of manufacture. I don't think it's anything special, just a .22, however it's the real deal, old western world firearm. I'm going to ''factory'' build it starting with the cylinder frame, starting with the bluing shop, no custom stuff, all Ruger pa...

0 Replies and 4648 Views John Wootters 00054 Rifles  4648  0 Started by  danlnga I was very fortunate to be able to buy three John Wootters 00054 rifles from Lee Newton at Classic Firearms a few years back (a Model 96 in 22 WMR, a model 96 in 44 Mag & at 10/22 in 22 WMR). I have shot both the 22 WMRs but the 44 is yet unfired. I would like to get letters from Ruger establishing their date of manufacture & shipment to Mr. Wootters. Any suggestions RIP JOHN WOOTTERS

0 Replies and 4230 Views Single Six in Wooden Box.  4230  0 Started by  ichris2 I have a stainless steel and a blued pair of Ruger Single Six pistols that come in a wooden box with custom fit cutouts for the gun and second cylinder. The boxes are lined in red felt and have a locking clasp on the outside. There is no documentation with the guns but the serial numbers are from the 70s. Serial numbers are not in series with each other. I'd like to know if there is any history to the guns and what their value would be if selling to an individual. Thanks

I believe it to be a 1986. from what I've researched, it looks to be the RB22 variation. it has the bisley frame and hammer, but it has a standard fluted cylinder with fixed rear sight (slide adjust)with 6-1/2'' barrel. it does not say ''bisley'' anywhere on it. my is, how many of these were made in comparison to other bisley 22 variations any idea of approx. value any info would be much appreciated. thank you

0 Replies and 5819 Views SP 101 Tame the Beast  5819  0 Started by  JackT47 I have an SP 101, .357 magnum, 2.5 inch barrel that was worked on by Jack Weigand in the early 90s. The gun has the ''Tame the Beast'' package but I had it Magnaported because I did not like the VibraPort look. The gun is in excellent condition and has been a safe queen for years. This gun was done by Weigand before he came up with the logo that he etched on the left side of the frame, but does have a ''W'' engraved on the grip frame (electro-pen or similar) I have all the original paperwork, t...
