0 Replies and 4083 Views Ruger No. 1V 6mm RBM anyone ever see this narrel stamp?  4083  0 Started by  jobyjob I have a Ruger No. 1V with ''6mm RBM'' stamped on the barrel. The box says ''6mm Rem'' and the serial numbers on the box and rifle match. Was my rifle misstamped at the factory, or is there such a thing as a 6mm RBM Thanks, Mark P.S. the ''narrel'' in my topic title is supposed to be ''barrel''. Lol

0 Replies and 3331 Views Stainless M77 MkII w/ Walnut Stock  3331  0 Started by  sledge I was trying to determine the value of a M77 rifle that I have had for quite a while. It is a M77 MkII in 30-06 all stainless metal but the stock is the standard walnut w/ cut checkering. Every publication I have looked at shows all the wanut stock guns as being blued and all the stainless guns as having synthetic stocks. I purchased the gun NIB a number of years ago and it is still in that condition. I assume it was some kind of a special run or a dealer exclusive. The Ser No. is 784-432xx...

I think I knew someone in the RCA when if first began(or at least an RCA with the same name) when it began here in Mississippi and the operators at that time lived in Yazoo City MS and frequented our state's collector's shows for years. I was in graduate school at the time and didn't have money to spare at the time so I never joined but always wanted to...

0 Replies and 3945 Views Ruger M77R flat bolt with sights - original??  3945  0 Started by  rugerman257r I recently purchased a M77R Flat bolt in 350 rem mag. It has sights on it, the rear looks identical to a remington sight and the front one is not a banded sight. The barrel is the lighter sporter barrel not the RS model with the medium heavy 24'' barrell and the front banded sight. I read that some of the R's were equipped with sights and I am unsure if they meant that some of them were but then would have been RS's or If some of the Actual R's had sights installed. Any help would be appreci...

0 Replies and 9275 Views Original red eagle .22 ruger?  9275  0 Started by  rob anderson Have a question about a pistol I own. Have a red eagle ruger that I am pretty sure is an original early. The sights are not adjustable, it is a nine shot, on one side it says, RUGER 22 cal. long rifle automatic pistol. On the other side it says sturm, ruger & co. southport, conn. u.s.a. 12718 The pistol is absolutely beautiful, with very little blemishes, no scratches, dings, nothing. Very slight blueing blemish in one spot. Fun to shoot and accurate. Would love to see if it is one o...

0 Replies and 4750 Views Old Army Anniversary Model  4750  0 Started by  Jamie I have a Ruger Collectors' Association Silver Anniversary Old Army. It is new in the box, with the certificate of Authenticity, and owner's manual, and I am trying to get a feel for what it is worth. It is NOT for sale. It was a gift from a very good friend, who bought it new from, if I remember correctly, ''Cheaper than Dirt'' at a price which at the time was well under list price for a normal stainless Old Army. It is stainless, has engraving/etching, polymer ivory grips with the RCA insig...

0 Replies and 8948 Views Magnum Single Six  8948  0 Started by  Troy (WA) I own an old model 3 screw single six 5.5 inch barrel. Serial number 402XXX puts it as a magnum 1964 Ruger single six according to their website. The cylinder is fluted without any markings of magnum or serial number. The bores do not have a step in them like my other new model convertible so I am presuming it is a LR cylinder. Is that the way you can tell a magnum cylinder with a step and a LR cylinder that is bored straight through I do have another non-fluted cylinder that is marked mag...

0 Replies and 4258 Views Low Serial Number Collection  4258  0 Started by  Tom Gresham I could use a little help. We are selling many of my father's guns, following his death last spring. He was on the program to receive the same serial number (actually, the last three digits of the serial number) of each gun that Ruger introduced. I know there were a number of people who had this arrangement, so this can't be the first time such a group of guns has been made available. Question: Is there any interest in the collector's market for someone to take all of them together If not,...

0 Replies and 4711 Views Super Blackhawk 6 1/2" bbl. "S46"  4711  0 Started by  globalkooler We have a 6 1/2'' bbl. Super Blackhawk SR 256XX. It is untruned. The outer brown cardboard box is stamped: S-47 SUPER ''BLACKHAWK'' .44 MAG. 6 1/2'' BBL. The inner two piece black & red box is marked: Catalog No. S47 and the 7 1/2'' is blacked out. The serial number tells us it was made in 1960. We are told that the RCA has records that can verify this. Is this true How do we go about getting a factory letter
