I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this 338 federal I have? Rare?

What is the configuration and serial number?

It is in an AB configuration, with a 134 pre-fix. I just thought what a cool caliber.

There were some 450 No. 1s made in .338 Federal for the "Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation" back in 2007 in the 134-18xxx - 22xxx s/n range. If yours is not adorned with the RME embellishment maybe it could be an overrun from that group of guns? Since you did not give the complete s/n of your gun I do not know if it falls in or close to that range?

Thanks Bill , it does not have the RMEF , so there for an over run. What do you think the rifles value is? Thanks also I didn't know about the 450 RMEF rifles.
