flat top 44's

Post by Rodgunbow » Thu Oct 04, 2018 2:47 pm

I have a 10 inch and a 7 1/2 inch .44 flat top. Going to thin out my collection. Not sure how much to ask for them. I know those two barrel lengths are the rarer ones. Also have a #1 in .308, a model 77 in .308 and a .22 Bearcat, all with the same 2 digit serial #. Any info on the flat tops would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard! Pics will help.....even more importantly may be the serial # As it could /should be a subscription number and may have belonged to a well known personality which may up your price some.

Well, tell you a little story. I have serial #600-00086 Maximum, a friend has serial #86 Red Label #86 was Bill Jordans subscription number. Both of these guns have his name engraved on them. Bill Jordan passed on February 23, 1997. The collection was broken up and sold after his death. I'd get a letter to confirm ship date. He may not have taken delivery of them, he may have been passed by then and an employee bought them. Hard to tell......But ya may have a couple desirable pieces there if Bill did get them.......Keep us informed.
