Guys I've ran across a m77/22 in .22lr. It is factory threaded 1/2x20 and is sitting in a paddlestock. I have the box and everything that came with it and it is unfired. Model number is 07022 and the Catalog # is K77/22RP-SPL. The serial number shows it's a 2005. I called Ruger and they sent me the number of the guy in charge of the collectors association. Jay?? I've called but have not heard back. Who can tell me anything about this rifle?
After speaking at length with Ruger on Friday I found some new info. These were made between 1995 and 2006 and were made for Export only. That's why it is threaded 1/2x 20 rather than 1/2x28. This rifle sat on a shelf at Ruger with some other new old stock items and was sold off in 2011 to a distributor called Acusport. What they could not tell me is how many of these factory threaded 77/22 all weather paddlestocks were sold off to this distributor. But with all the searching I've done I believe their to be very few of these left in the U.S. This rifle is still unfired. Does anyone have an approximate value of this obviously rare rifle?
Welcome! Can't help you any value here, the Maximum is my forte.....Every once and a while something like that does happen such as the Mini 14 in .222 Remington, made for export, but I have seen them here in the states..........good luck in your quest. Sent you a PM, by the way, Coogs.
