Growing Addiction .44MAG SBH Mahogany, White Box, Black Box

The addiction bug bites hard! I've been bitten by the Old Model Super Blackhawk Bug. Once you get started you can't stop, I'm constantly looking for mahogany's, white boxes and black and red boxes. After you get all the variations of the "Mahogany" cased guns (6 altogether) you need to find the two variations of the "White Boxed" guns. Then about 15 to 20 of the "Black and Red" boxed guns. There you will find a couple of very rare guns. a couple of "S" guns and 2 "Brass Framed" guns. The single digit and 2 digit guns are hard to find and when, and if, you do you need deep pockets. The standard model is 7.5" however due to a short run of errors at the factory due to an employee who thought he was cutting .41MAG barrels there are approx 600 6.5" barrels in existence (rare). There are three 10" guns in existence, I know of one in a private collection which a friend has in AZ. There is so much more information on these models that I wont begin to try and include in a single post but only touch the highlights to introduce or reintroduce those who haven't discussed them for sometime. For this member who is now hopelessly addicted to the care and collection of these timeless pieces its been a pleasure to learn all I can about them.

Notice the long grip models, eagle-less barrels and different finishes.
One of the many things to enjoy about the OM SBH's is the variations in grips, lengths of barrel and grip, different bluing finishes and changes in the barrel markings.
