RST4 IV?

Post by roadglide100 » Sun Jun 09, 2019 7:27 am

Just purchased what I believe to be a Red Eagle standard type IV, 9234. Any pointers on how to assess it's originality would be appreciated. And perhaps value as well. I don't have it in my possession as of this writing. It will arrive next week.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. Mark

This Ruger Standard Auto was produced in 1950 making it absolutely a Red Eagle made before Ruger changed the medallions from red to black. Collectors want a Red Eagle in better condition. They are available for $400 to $600. In my opinion this pistol (in this condition) would bring in an auction $200 to $350. One person's opinion.
