Question about a Bearcat

Post by mathersjd » Sun Mar 18, 2018 2:11 pm

I am new to this board and hope I am using the correct page and format.
I have purchased a nice looking Bearcat and I would like to know about it and its value.
S/N 91-21158. It is a nice blue finish with a brass trigger guard.
Can you help?

Welcome aboard! I would like to help you, but, alas my forte is the Maximum. I'm sure you'll get a good response here shortly, as there a few people around here that forgot more about your bearcat than I would presume to know!

Welcome to the RCA forum. Your revolver is a steel framed Super Bearcat (cat. no. SBC4) manufactured in 1971. Introduced and offered in 1971 through 1974, 62,790 SBC4 were manufactured, approximately 50% feature the gold anodized trigger guard, while the other half are polished and blued trigger guards. The value is perhaps around $350-400 depending on condition. If it is still in the box with paperwork add another $50-75

John,
Thank you very much for the response to my inquiry about my Bearcat. The little guy is mint with original box and oiled paper wrapping. I purchased it for my smaller grandchildren to learn to shoot. It will remain a part of my estate.
