Back in my Ski Area days I used a very similar tool. I believe it was a Tirfor brand.

I've looked and looked for a Ruger brand........

Very interesting, Don.

Wasn't there some Yankee tools that were Ruger-made too?

Wow, I've NEVER seen one or even heard of one that actually existed!

I've no idea of a value.

Hey Flatgate! I have one of these, and it will pull a heck of a lot more than a Chinese come-a-long...Mine just says Yankee Mechanics Inc. Newport New Hampshire 03773 FSCM 31412 A Subsidiary of Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. Made in USA. It comes with a nifty spool for the wire rope that has a big C hook on it, and a detachable handle. My handle has had it's rubber bycicle grip replaced with black electrical tape but other than that appears all stock....needs a paint job to be pristine...RB
