Re: Manufacturing quantity by Serial Number

Welcome aboard.............sorry to say you pretty much will not find out how many of a particular model were made........most of that kind of info out there is an educated guess. Some of us old guys, through years of research, have been able to pin some models down to a certain serial number range,...

Re: Mini 14 #5832 rarity?

Welcome aboard! Not a rifle guy, so I don't think I would be of much help. Years ago I can tell you that Ruger did offer certain products ONLY through Police distributors. If they still do today, I'm not sure. Hopefully someone will pop up and give you some answers, Coogs.

Re: Question about a Bearcat

Welcome aboard! I would like to help you, but, alas my forte is the Maximum. I'm sure you'll get a good response here shortly, as there a few people around here that forgot more about your bearcat than I would presume to know!

Re: 1957 Standard looks like one of the NRA display Wheel Pistols

Nice find! But over the years there have been many of the "wheel" pistols show up. The are very rare, but, but, even rarer to document. Get a hold of Ruger, but TALK to someone, don't just send the paper work in. Unusual finishes are hard to document. Hopefully John Dougan will see this and give you...

Re: Bisley???

Ruger Bisleys have a different grip frame and hammer(maybe the trigger also)............other than that they are pretty much a Single Six, Blackhawk or Super Blackhawk with those items' changed out. Some like the Bisley frame as it has a much more pronounced curve to it. Coogs.

Re: 1969 Engraved Super Blackhawk

Welcome aboard! That is very nice! Did Ruger confirm that it shipped engraved? I'm not real big on old models but my impression is that it was done aftermarket. If your were to research some of the top engravers of that period you may be able to determine what their "engraved" signature was as all t...
